Alpha | Wednesday 3 May 7pm

What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.

Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

How does it work?
Alpha is eight sessions with the option of a weekend away in the middle. Each session includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge.

When is it?
Our next course starts on Wednesday 3 May 2017.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I miss the first week?
It doesn’t matter if you missed the first week of Alpha – you can catch up online at any point. Anyone is able to register up until session 4; after that we would encourage you to sign up for our next term and come along from session 1.

Am I expected to know things about Christianity and religion?
Not at all. The idea of the Alpha course is that it is for everyone. It is a chance to explore the Christian faith and find out more about it. Whether you know heaps about religion or nothing at all, it makes no difference and there are no expectations on level of knowledge or education on the course.

Can I ask any question I want?
Yes, we welcome all questions. Many of your questions about faith and Christianity will hopefully be answered through the course material, but there will be opportunities each week for you to ask questions. We cannot guarantee we will have all the answers but we will try our best to answer any question you may have.

How much does it cost?
The first week is free! If you decide to do the whole 8 week course we recommend a voluntary donation of £1.50 - £2.00 per evening, which contributes towards food and material costs. This is completely voluntary and should not deter you from attending if you cannot afford it.
